Cloudforest ExpeditionCloudforest Expedition
by Loot Drop for RockYou

Steve worked on the Loot Drop system in Cloudforest, (prizes that pop out when interacting with an object), and special effects. While working on Cloudforest, Steve derived a “Loot Sweep” collection mechanic, enabling players to simply sweep the mouse over the “loot drops” to collect them (as opposed to clicking on the “loot drops,” the prevailing mechanic at the time). Steve’s “Loot Sweep” mechanic is now the defacto standard in every Facebook game with pop-out prizes that need to be collected by the player.
